Nestled in the volcanic area of the Mount Etna in Sicilia, Villa Neri resort & Spa is an excellent choice for travellers who are seeking elegance and modernity.
The region of Taormina is full of pricy or old fashionned hotels... quite a nightmare to find a hotel with modern equiments, beautiful swimmingpool and refurbished roooms that does not cost 300 or 400 euros a night.
Half way between the Etna and Taormina with its Ionian sea, Villa Neri is located in a small village, Linguaglossa, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Once you are there, you will find yourself in a peaceful atmosphere with views on the mountains and the mount. A very good option to relax after sightseeings far from bus of tourists !
Decoration is comptemporay with a feeling of purity. Wooden tables, orchids, discreet fireplace, white and grey colors are part of this elegant atmosphere.
Swimmingpool
Villa Neri offers a beautiful and large swimming pool surrounded by a lovely garden, which gives you the feeling to be in a luxury private villa rather than a hotel. A very nice place also to enjoy a cocktail at the end of the day while admiring sunset lights.
Spa
The hotel has also a beautiful Spa, but as many hotels in Italy, access to the Spa is not complimentary (between 20 to 25 euros per person). However, its reputation is excellent and I would suggest you to test it after a trekk on the Mount :)

Junior Suite :
We spent two nights in a Junior Suite which design was quite original. This confortable room of 37 m² is a combination of traditionnal and modern amenities. An elegant sofa is incorporated to the bed like a bed bench.
Shelves of bottles of wine are presented along with glasses in case you would like to have a little wine tasting in your room. By the way, balconies have views on the Etna countryside and its sunset, this is quite a good spot to enjoy a sicilian glass of wine.
Modern bathrooms made in marble are designed for your comfort : large ceramic basin, generous white bathtub, rain shower opened onto the room and bisazza mosaics to remind the rich history of Sicilia.

Generous Ortigia amenities are offered in the bathroom. Ortigia is a sicilian fragrance brand that produces soaps, bath oils and creams with best italian essences. Our bath foam was made with Amber, a real pleasure of senses.
The quality of materials combined to an elegant decoration made our room very special and pleasant. We had a Junior Suite, but first room categories are also very nice. The hotel is modern and quite new, you cannot be disapointed.
Breakfast
Breakfast takes place into a bright room. The buffet is quite generous with good variety of items. It offers also high quality produtcs such as pistachios, almonds, dry abricots, etc...
To sum up, I recommend Villa Neri for :
